Unity for Life | Tucson
Unity For Life Tucson, a fundraising group, was formed in Dec 2009 by a community of transplant recipients, listed patients, and their families associated with University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. The goal of Unity For Life Tucson is to establish the fiscal resources necessary to assist in alleviating the unexpected financial hardship surrounding the transplant process. With University Medical Center being a Southwest Regional Transplant Center, 75% of transplant patients are from out-of-town. Costs for evaluation, relocation, housing, and transportation create financial challenges, in addition to the expense of life-long immuno-suppression medications. Most transplant patients/recipients and their families are unaware of the exorbitant costs. Those who have gone through the transplant process wish to honor the legacy of their donors by paying it forward. Your tax-deductible donation will change a personal challenge into a success story.
